How busy do the shops get in summer?

Busy. Mallacoota goes from a few hundred people to several thousand over Christmas. The shops in town are well stocked, but they get busy in peak weeks, so pack the basics before you leave home and top up once you're here. If you're still working out when to come, our guide to Mallacoota in summer covers the peak weeks and when to book.

We haven't confirmed Foodworks' address or opening hours for this guide, so check them before you head over.

Bread, pies and a bottle shop

Mallacoota Bakery opens early for pies, pasties, bread and coffee, and there's often a queue in summer. The Mallacoota Hotel Motel (the pub) at 51–55 Maurice Avenue has a bottle shop. Phone 03 5158 0455.

Is there a pharmacy or doctor in Mallacoota?
